Redeveloping Lee Ridge Park

Lee Ridge Playground is overdue for a face lift!

Over the past year, we have heard from residents through surveys, focus groups, and presentations that there is strong support to move forward with the redevelopement of Lee Ridge Playground located at 7910-36 Avenue. Volunteers have stepped forward to take part in the planning process, survey the community, and plan fundraisers.

The Lee Ridge Redevelopment Committee is made up of the Leefield Community League, Lee Ridge Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), residents and businesses.  The committee was formed a year ago to start the process with support from the City of Edmonton’s Neighbourhood Park Development Program (NPDP). Gathering input from the community is vital throughout all the stages of this project and we will continue to create opportunities for residents to be involved!

By engaging the community we have learned that we need a playground that has greater accessibility, features that will increase play value and opportunities for all ages. We will continue to request your input to ensure all families can make use of this space as the new equipment now averages a 30 year life span thus will be around for the next generation.

Mill Woods is an amazing community to live in and it is volunteers that help make it this way.  Our community has a reputation for outstanding events, awesome programs, and beautiful spaces! We need community involvement and support to make this a reality. If you or your business would like to be a part of this…
